Our lawyers are very capable and experienced in this area.

Heading our legal team is Patrick B. Higgerty, who has developed and oversees our highly organized and largely automated case management system. Mr. Higgerty is a respected and effective negotiator, with a high success rate over the years in favourably resolving innumerable claims. He has also litigated and appeared at all levels of Alberta Courts. Mr. Higgerty has been a member of the Alberta Bar since 1984, graduated cum laude from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in 1983, and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an Economics minor. Mr. Higgerty has extensive practice experience in many areas of law but has for many years focused on personal-injury law.

Admitted to practice law in Alberta in 1987, Frank Monaghan joined the firm from a national law firm where he conducted a practice devoted solely to litigation matters. Mr. Monaghan has successfully represented clients before the Provincial Court, the Court of Queen's Bench and the Court of Appeal in Alberta and has practiced in the Federal Court, Trial Division, and Federal Court of Appeal. He has appeared at the bar of the Yukon Territorial Courts and the Northwest Territories.

Mr. Monaghan's practice is comprised of civil litigation and insurance matters.

Tom W. Buglas has worked as a trial lawyer for over 10 years. He has been a Member of the Alberta Bar since 1991. Mr. Buglas learned trial work in a three year position as an Alberta Crown Prosecutor. Since then he has worked as a general litigator in private practice. He has represented Albertans in all types of matters, big and small, in all levels of Alberta Courts. Mr. Buglas has solid experience in Criminal Law, Civil Litigation, and Class Action claims.
